Bobbie completed the BASI Pilates Comprehensive Teacher Training Program in December, 2016. As part of the certification process, she began teaching Pilates at the BASI Studio in the Apprentice Program.
After suffering from horrible back pain for several years and through two pregnancies, she began Pilates as part of her physical therapy. Bobbie instantly fell in love and has continued to practice Pilates with several different instructors throughout Southern California.
Bobbie received her Bachelors of Science in Public Administration from the University of Arizona, and worked in Human Resources and Marketing for several years after graduation. Robin Martinez
Plugging away in my early 30’s as a new mom/wife and top producer in the B2B Sales world, I suddenly found myself experiencing painful swelling in both knee caps. I visited an Orthopedic Surgeon, got an X-ray and I could see with my own eyes that my knee caps had rotated inward. The end result is that I had lost all my cushioning in my knees and was now “knocked kneed”.
I was referred to a physical therapy practice that was using Pilates to rehab. I struggled extensively during the 1 year diagnostic process. I soon noticed while practicing Pilates 3 times a week I was feeling good! I also noticed that I was improving all aspects of functional movement as well as my ability to follow instructions clearly...something I have struggled with my whole life!!!
Although ultimately I was diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis, Pilates was the best thing that ever happened to me from a rehabilitation and a career standpoint.
Pilates is my magic bullet and I want to share it with everyone. Whether you’re new to exercise or want to add another dimension to your existing routine, I am here to help you achieve your goals, whatever your age or current level of fitness. I consult with every client before their first class, and am available to chat to ensure they get the highest level of personal attention and make the most of their class.
In general I’m an all-around ass kicker who loves and enjoys an active life and wants the same for my clients.

Sabrina Rubin
I am a graduate student of Tamal School of Yoga and have completed 500 hours of YTT, including an additional 12 hours of Yin training and 30 hours of continued Yoga education included but not limited to training and practice, teaching methodology, anatomy and physiology, therapeutic applications, seeing energy, breath awareness, and ethics.
During my studies at Saddleback Community college, receiving an Associates Degree in Health Sciences, I started practicing Yoga at the young age of 16 and instantly fell in love with how it made me feel. After a few years of a dedicated and consistent daily practice, I decided to take a 200-hr YTT and started teaching Yoga as soon as I could after receiving my certificate of completion in 2012.
I have been teaching Yoga ever since, completing additional trainings including a 300-hr YTT, Yin training and hours of continued education trainings.
Through the past decade of teaching and practicing Yoga, I grew another obsession for the practice of surf and became an avid daily surfer. I found that through the lack of Yoga practice and other forms of movement in my weekly routine during this time, I had started to acquire what's called 'surfer's back.' This is characterized by lower back pain and stiffness that would prevent me from being able to do any form of physical activity for long bouts at a time.
Around this time is when I was introduced to Pilates at Aura. Through the practice of Pilates, I was able to find another movement modality that relieved the pain in my low back and made me feel amazing in my body.
Soon after, I completed my Mat Pilates training though Delyer Anderson at Aura Pilates in 2020.
I was then introduced to the world of mobility and felt inspired and committed to improve my understanding of how the body functions and how to leverage this understanding in order to move and feel better.
With this, I completed a 20-hour Redefining Mobility course training by certified Functional Range Conditioning Movement Specialist (FRCms), Matt Phippen.
My intention for my clients moving forward is to combine the learnings from my formal trainings to offer an intelligent and relevant style for students wanting to improve the way they move. Most importantly, my goal is to make people feel good and strong in their bodies so they are able to enjoy doing whatever hobbies and activities they love to do on a day-to-day basis, pain free.
If I'm not teaching or practicing, you can find me out in the water surfing, hiking outdoors, or in my kitchen cooking yummy plant based food!
